HOW TO ZAZZLE - Getting Started
HOW TO ZAZZLE Getting Started and Creating an Effective Gallery Design Take advantage of the TOP PICKS feature. Change the products featured often to reflect new favourite products or images or seasonal things. Create different headers for your page by Season, Occasion, Holiday. Change it up often. The more dynamic your page, the more folks will notice on it. If it stays too much the same, they will click in and click out without noticing new stuff much. Keep them looking around to see what is happening. DON'T load up your page with maps, music players and other junk. FOCUS ON THE ART AND THE PRODUCT, but in a dynamic way. DO create a short 'Artist Statement' and add that to your Page text at the top. Add links to the appropriate personal business websites. Change your main page to POPULAR PRODUCTS. It keeps the front page dynamic and changing all the time. That way people see more of your work on their first page click in, than they will with either of the other options. DO NOT list your products by 'medium' or ‘product type’ rather than content. It is best to be consistent and to go with content. Viewers are interested in what they are looking at, not how it was made or what was made. (Zazzle has a list organized by ‘product’ at the bottom of the right hand panel anyways, each product type will appear as you create one of them) Basically you want to have LOTS of product lines that can be viewed in four pages or less. ABSTRACT - there are always some things that fit into this theme best AMERICANA or something along those lines. Anything to do with American themes (this IS an American based company) CREATURES, ANIMALS, KRITTERS - or something like that FLOWERS LANDSCAPES PORTRAITS SUNS DRAGONS CHRISTMAS, HOLIDAYS or something else to put your December holiday designs into together HALLOWEEN, EASTER, ETC AS REQUIRED SUMMER, AUTUMN, SPRING, WINTER, if you end up with designs that fit here better than in other Lines Etc……………… This will make viewer searches simple and fruitful for them. Add Sub-Product Lines as required to keep searches to only a few pages under any content type. Viewers are not likely to go through more than three to five pages to find the image they like. They would prefer to go directly to say a Dragon, by clicking on your site url, then Fantasy, then choose from individual Dragon artworks and looking through 1 to 4 pages of product choices. The quicker and easier folks can 'sift' through your page to find images they MIGHT like, the more they are likely to look at, and buy. If you have many of the same type of image and multiple products for each, give each a unique title and then use the individual title as your Sub-Product line name. For example: Product line: DRAGONS Sub-product lines: Red Dragon Yellow Dragon Pink Dragon Metal Dragon or whatever titles you use. Under each of these put all the products made with that specific image. Check out some of my Product Lines to see what I mean. DO NOT have more than one page of New Products at any time. Move them into the appropriate Product or Sub-Product lines as soon as possible so that they can be easily found. HAVE FUN ZAZZLERS! Cheers, Ruth a.k.a. de Quilla
