HOW TO ZAZZLE - TIPS & TRICKS
HOW TO ZAZZLE Other Little Things Be sure your images are clear and focused (unless they shouldn't be for artistic reasons) NEVER USE ANYTHING THAT IS NOT YOUR OWN, unless you have the legal right to do so. If it is not yours, but you have permission to use it, with or without a fee, credit the person who created it in the description. e.g. Created by ???? and reproduced with permission. Zazzle has a zero tolerance policy on copyright infringement, as they should. CREATE MORE ART. The more you add to your page, the more visitors will want to check out your page. They like to have lots to choose from. Post daily new products if possible, even if it is only one or two new products. It keeps you top of mind with the other artists and viewers. ADD YOUR URL TO EVERYTHING YOU MAKE. (in a discreet way) BE SURE YOUR SIGNATURE IS VISIBLE SOMEWHERE ON EVERY PRODUCT. (without detracting from the image) People want to buy art products, not personal advertising. Create as many products as is feasible from each piece of art. This WILL involve tweaking the way you present your image in order for it to work on the various products. Do all the product image creating that you do not wish people to be able to change, on your computer. This includes the addition of any framing or text you wish to be permanent on a product. Anything you wish to allow the customer to be able to change should be added within the Zazzle interface. A bonus to doing the bulk of the creating on your computer is that way you will have all the product images, if you decide to create a catalogue on paper or CD. Don't publish all the products for any image all at once. Stagger publication to get repeat interest in any given image. Don't use the same version of an image on everything. You may want to have it rectangular on a card or print. Oval version for the caps, cropped for apparel, whatever. You might use the image clean on some things. On others you might add text design, a relevant quote, etc. CHECK OUT THE FORUMS for more ideas. There are many interesting articles in the BLOG. Don't hesitate to ask questions, either of me or others on Zazzle, or of Zazzle for that matter. Most people are willing to share tips, not trade secrets, but tips are ok. I have artwork I wouldn't have, if other Zazzlers hadn't steered me to new software (free, lol), techniques, etc. HAVE FUN ZAZZLERS! Cheers, Ruth a.k.a. de Quilla
